VPASWS History
The Victoria Police Amateur Sports & Welfare Society (VPAS&WS) was formed in 1955 and is an umbrella organisation representing the interests of approximately 40 police sporting and recreational clubs. To find out more about the early foundations of the Society, please click on the attachment below.
In 1995 the Society introduced the Victoria Police Sports Awards to recognise the outstanding contribution made to sport by many of our past and present serving members. The Victoria Police Sporting Hall of Fame was also introduced at this time.
