The Homicide Squad Cycle Team Inc. was formed in 1995 to promote health and fitness amongst members attached to the Homicide Squad. Since inception the team has gown to embrace the true meaning of "Community Engagement" with a membership base from all walks of life including police, fire brigade, nurses, doctors, company directors and the like. The team participates in a number of charity rides across the state including the Murray to Moyne 24 hour Cycle Relay, the Port to port ride from Mildura to Echuca, the Alpine Classic, the Amy Gillett ride, the BAD and MAD rides. Since inception the team has conducted a number of fund raising events to raise money for various charities. To date the team has raised in excess of $150,000.00 for charity with its main benefactor now being the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation Inc. One of the fundraising activities is the annual "Homicide-an Investigators Insight" held in September each year before a sold out audience of over 400 people. New members are always welcome and inquiries should be directed to the above members.
