Victoria Police Hockey Club

The Victoria Police Hockey Club was formed after the completion of the 2004 Victoria Police Games with the idea and intention of promoting the sport within the police and other emergency services.

The club had representatives in all three teams playing in the 2005 Victoria Police and Emergency Services Games. These teams Central Wallopers (Gold medal), East (Silver medal) Westerners (fourth place) displayed the attributes of a promising club with enthusiastic players.

In the short time that the club has been in existence it has made a very valuable contribution to the running of the Hockey competition in the State Police and Emergency Services Games and also fielded a team in the ANZ games. This was the first time that Victoria fielded a Hockey team and they came away with a very credible bronze medal.

If you are at all interested in competing in Hockey at the various emergency services games whether it be at a state, national or international level then this is the club for you. If you are interested in assisting as an official you will be very welcome.
