Hockey at Mooloolaba

25 Oct 2016

The Victoria Police Hockey Club attended the Australasian Police and Emergency Services Games in Mooloolaba, Queensland between the 8th to 15th of October, 2016.

19 members played in the men’s, women’s and mixed competition and fought it out on the pitch over 5 days.

Teams from policing and emergency services around Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific islands competed and the atmosphere was fierce but fun.

The Victoria Police Hockey Club “Wallopers” finally walked away with silver medals for both the men’s and women’s competition and fourth place for the mixed competition.

Off the pitch we celebrated our first ever Wallopers wedding in a social op shop formal BBQ.

All in all another successful trip for the Wallopers and planning is underway for Western Australia in 2018 and possibly Vietnam in 2017.
