Kellie Loughman (2008)

Kellie joined Victoria Police in 1992 and was still serving at the time of induction, 2008.

Kellie represented Australia in 1986 and 1990 at the World Softball Championships in Auckland, New Zealand and Oklahoma City, USA.  She represented her country for 10 years, playing in over 80 games for Australia.

In 1987 Kellie made the National 'All Star' team and also won the 'Most Valuable Player Award'. A year later she was selected in an international 'All Star' team whilst playing for a Canadian softball club.

Kellie was an exceptional player in the Australian team that won a silver medal at the 1992 World Challenger Cup - an event for the top eight ranked nations. She was also a member of the team that defeated World No.2 New Zealand in Christchurch in 1993.

Kellie captained the Melbourne Angels in the National Fastpitch Softball League and has since been inducted into the Australian Softball 'Hall of Fame'.

 

Kellie was inducted into the Victoria Police Sporting Hall of Fame in 2008.
